Our Religious Programs
Religion Classes and Monthly Mass
Pre Kinder to Sixth Grade Religion classes are taught during the English program. We compliment this with monthly student body masses (Pre First to Sixth Grade) in our multi purpose auditorium and bi-monthly Paraliturgical services. These Paraliturgies (Pre First to Sixth Grade) center around important Catholic dates,
patriotic observances and self-esteem themes.
Each month Juniper celebrates mass, and each month a different grade prepares and interacts with the priest during the celebration. Parents are welcome to come and participate with their children during this lovely celebration. The final Mass of the school year is that of our Sixth Grade Graduation.
To honor Our Lady, a decade of the Rosary, with petitions, is said in each classroom throughout the months of October and May.
The culmination of our students honoring of Our Lady is our annual Living Rosary and May Crowning in the school patio. The entire student body (Pre Kinder to Sixth Grade) participates. Many parents and friends attend this beautiful, peaceful and spiritually enriching ceremony.
We begin the Season of Advent with a blessing of the various classroom practices (Pre Kinder to Sixth Grade). Daily during opening prayers each classroom observes it’s chosen practices..
During the season of Lent, the Stations of the Cross are observed weekly. Also, we place a life size cross in the foyer of the Auditorium, on which the students place a small cross with their individual Lenten practice inscribed on it. Upon returning from Easter vacation, the students take down their cross and place a white dove as a symbol of unity with the Trinity and a sign of the successful completion of their personal practice.
Our school has installed a values program in which every month our children reinforce a specific value, understand its meaning and the importance it has in their everyday lives and interactions with each other.
We also send home monthly a triptych with information and activities that can be done at home between parents and children.
All throughout the year Juniper parents have the opportunity to attend many conferences related to topics important to our spiritual and moral formation as well as information regarding our world’s situation and tips that can help us better our children’s overall education.
